The Bourne Valley Inn is situated in St Mary Bourne (which sits beside the river Test and astride the Portway Roman Road, near Whitchurch with its famous silk mill), in the heart of unspoiled Hampshire countryside. Its nine bedrooms exude quirky country charm with colour painted lamps, black old-fashioned telephones and large print wallpaper. Bathrooms, some of which are due for refurbishment this year, have natural Bramley products. Two rooms have showers only. Bedrooms come with luxury Feather & Black bedding and guests can fix themselves a Teapigs special tea or make a cafetiere 24/7. Three ground floor rooms are dog friendly and dog beds and water bowls can be provided. Cuisine, which has been awarded an AA Rosette, takes full advantage of local farms, estates, rivers and lakes with fresh fish, smoked and cured on the premises, being a speciality, alongside classic English pub favourites. Breakfast can include scrambled duck eggs, toasted granola or even a bacon butty for early starters! The adjoining Barn is suitable for family gatherings, private dining and small meetings.
