With a flight time of under three hours from London the Corinthia is ideal for a long weekend summer or winter sun break. The high-rise and highly-concentrated location of St. Georges Bay makes for a bit of an eyesore, but it’s only ten minute by taxi to Valletta the island’s capital and main tourist draw. The Corinthia has a slightly corporate feel throughout with its large shiny foyer, meeting rooms, spa and gym. Safely furnished rooms look out collectively over major swimming pool. Food wise you can exptect a standard buffet breakfast, but Fra Martino and White Olive restaurants have excellent menus and are well worth trying.

"The Corinthia Hotel’s palatial foyer, with towering columns and glitzy little bar, is opulent if a little old-fashioned."
