Sited near attractive Agios Nikolaos and Elounda, around a pretty cove with a sandy beach with shallow turquoise waters, Daios Cove is a sizeable modern resort set on five levels upon the rocks. Boasting lovely views, it has lots of facilities to enhance a stay including six restaurants and bars. There is a large spa KĒPOS by Goco, a 2.500sqm hub of wellbeing, a gym and a range of water sports options. Popular with couples, try RHO an adults only dining experience, and families will also love it, especially as there is a good kids’ club on site. Public areas are generally quite snazzy, although the 300 rooms and suites are rather low-key and lacking in character, but still very comfortable. Look out for The Collection rooms which will be refurbished in winter 2023/4. Most guest rooms boast a private pool. Most unusually, funiculars transport guests to each level of the resort.
