Very much a family affair, this 4th-generation-run hotel has a lot of character from the moment you check in. The location is perfect, in the middle of no-where and surrounded completely by nature. There are two buildings to the hotel – a traditional pension dating back to the 50s and a relatively new building with large balconies, huge rooms and stunning views of the Black Forest. The rooms are spacious and minimal in their design with a natural, serene, feel.

The new building is also where the spa is located which includes a steam room, two Finnish saunas, two large relaxation rooms and an indoor swimming pool. The restaurant is an experience in itself both notable for its cuisine and its hospitality. It is here that you will meet the whole family. Dishes are inspired by the region (such as deer stew) and the produce is local and sustainable. Don’t forget to order the award-winning Black Forest Cake!
