With its pale pink and blue colour scheme, pots of flowers, wrought-iron balconies and sunny café-terrace, the Byron is immediately attractive, and it lives up to its promise. Owner Aris Babaioannou offers above-average service and is a mine of practical advice about what to see and do locally. Rooms are on the small side, but high windows with views over tiers of red-tiled roofs to the harbour and the mirror-calm Gulf of Navplio compensate; try for one of the rooms with a tiny private balcony.
