Hotel Review

Hotel du Lac has been in the Arosio family for last two generations and this means that when you arrive you'll feel like you're staying in a welcoming home from home, albeit one that overlooks the stunning vista of Lake Garda! There are just twelve rooms (six with lake views and either balcony or terrace), all of which are traditionally decorated and adorned with period furnishings and antiques which are the ideal accompaniement to this handsome Venetian Red 19th century villa. Breakfast is a generous buffet, and if you get there early enough you can bag one of the tables on the terrace that hovers above the lake...a magical way to start the day. The hotel owns the nearby Lido dei Limoni, so if you want to sunbathe by the water all day you can. Alternatively you could hire a mountain bike or kayak (both available onsite) and explore the glorious surrounding countryside. They also organise weekly guided walking tours which take you through the pretty town, finishing up in the Fondo Crocefisso (a traditional Limonaia - lemon garden - owned by the family) where they cultivate olives, lemons and vines, and where you can smell and taste this wonderful produce. Quite simply, Hotel du Lac is a charming small hotel that offers a traditional, elegant, friendly base on the shores of Lake Garda. For an alternative hotel on Lake Garda, have a look at their sister hotel Hotel Gardenia.
