TRAVEL GUIDE TO BHUTAN

Once a palace of Bhutan's second king, this aristocratic home is a real gem complete with a stunningly frescoed altar room (a religious shrine is included in most Bhutanese homes). There are 19 generously sized rooms, a restaurant serving Indian, Western and Bhutanese dishes, a lounge/bar with magnificent views of Paro's dzong (fortress-monastery), and beautifully tended grounds.
