Hotel Review
In the middle of Colombia’s ‘Coffee Triangle’, British educated coffee farmer Juan Pablo Echeverri has transformed this hacienda and he certainly understands international expectations. This remote spot has silence, beauty and style in abundance. Tropical and lush, the approach to the estate is a combination of hills and fords requiring 4x4’s ideally. There’s a simple white house, and the main guest house which is coloured red with wrap around verandas. Accommodation ranges fromm suites in the main house, doubles in the guest house and dormitories (which can sleep up to 8) in a hostel. Once you've settled in you really get to sense the personality of the family enterprise; thumbed books and old photos adorn the slightly primitive rooms; hammocks look out onto beautiful hyacinths and heliconia; the farm itself has centenary trees and coffee bushes. Hacienda Venecia is a place to completely relax and experience true Colombian countryside and coffee!
