La Capuccina is not your typical farmhouse experiences. Classified as a ‘resort’ by husband and wife owners, Raffella and Gianluca, the rooms, amenities and services offer the perfect escape from tourist-ridden Lake Maggiore hotels. The whole feel of the agri-tourism resort is charming and comforting, yet has the high-end feel of a premium lodging experience. The service is exceptional from front-of-house to the servers in the restaurant. The rooms feel very modern yet still have the farm-house appeal with the original frame-work outside the windows overlooking the countryside of Novara. The rooms are all unique, with just 9-rooms on offer; opt for the special suite on the second floor with extended balcony, reading space and a private Swedish sauna to warm you up during winter. There is also a games-room for families to enjoy, as well as an entire farm with goats, hens, chickens to warm up to. Just 15 minutes from the town of Arona on Lake Maggiore, the heart of La Capuccina is the restaurant by Chef Gianluca Zanetta – nephew of a famous chef in the Novara region. Most ingredients are local, if not directly from the farm. Enjoy the La Capuccina wine, garden vegetables and of course house specialities during your gourmet 6-course dinner.
