Hard to better, and now ranked No 1 in the world by the users of Expedia, this former townhouse is a lovingly renovated cultural landmark that happily preserves its ‘20s and ‘30s retro style. There is a welcoming fireplace in the lobby and the rooms are stylishly decorated in muted tones and natural fabrics of the highest quality. White-gloved bellmen greet guest by name and the Jasmine Spa, in neoclassical style, offers a spoiling experience. The breakfast menu includes smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, even bubbly. What a start to the day!
