“400 year old farmhouse in remote part of Lake District. Stunning panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells, with 15 acre gardens to wander in. Traditional interiors, oak beams, open fire places - deep reds and dark wood furnishings. The beautiful Lorton valley makes it a popular wedding destination.”

Hotel Review
This country farmhouse, previously a part of the Cumberland Estate is owned and run by Hazel Thompson, and described as many as being a "comfort par excellence" with "warm hospitality and excellent food". The traditional feel to it is enhanced by the "oak beams and rafters, flagged floors and stone open fire places". Outside, in the 17 acre garden, a hot tub can be found - "luxurious and huge fun"!
