Set in the heart of Coln St Aldwyn, in what some claim to be the 7th most beautiful village in the country. The "creeper-clad" exterior boasts old tradition and grandeur, whilst the interior welcomes you with a "roaring fire and Gloucestershire ales" with decor that has been "beautifully spruced up" with bedrooms that have been individually themed with a great eye for detail. Meanwhile, the AA 2 Rosette award food is "award-winning yet unpretentious" which can be enjoyed on the "sun-trap" terrace in summer or the "cosy bar" in winter. Perhaps best suited as a romantic weekend away to couples as all but one of rooms are doubles. Once fed and watered, why not explore the Cotswold Wildlife Park or the numerous National Trust owned properties on your doorstep.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Nestled in the heart of one of England’s prettiest villages, The New Inn at Coln St Aldwyns offers excellent food and great service; it’s a superb retreat from the face pace of daily life. This charming, unspoilt Gloucestershire village was ranked the 7th most desirable in the country by Country Life Magazine, and we believe The New Inn is the jewel in its crown. What is there to do in the area or on site? We are perfectly placed for those wishing to explore the breath-taking beauty of the Cotswolds, yet we are within easy access of Cirencester, Cheltenham, the A419 and the M5. We are also only 3 miles away from the popular ‘chocolate box’ village of Bibury, which can be accessed by a very pretty country walk. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We’d obviously recommend our own bar and restaurant as the place to go! Whether eating on our sunny terrace in the summer or in our cosy bar or restaurant in the winter, our seasonal, locally-sourced menus for lunch and dinner will be sure to tempt your taste buds. Which are your most popular room types, and why? Each of our 14 bedrooms are individually designed to reflect the quirky, luxury approach of The New Inn so we think that’s a tough call to make. The difference between our Classic, Chic and Luxury Rooms simply comes down to size and the type of view you are after – for example, one of our rooms has a bath in the bedroom – ideal for a romantic break away!
