“A charmingly quaint property full of character set on a 220 acre plot. Cosy rooms featuring old beams and chintz fabrics. The garden is glorious and the wholesome locally sourced breakfasts are served around table by the Aga. A quintessentially British country escape in an Area of Natural Beauty. ”

Hotel review

Come in spring and you’ll brush past pear, apple and cherry blossom to reach the door of this pale pink-painted, half-timbered 15th century farmhouse. Ella, who grew up here, has renovated it beautifully so it’s now “much warmer and comfier than I remember as a child!”. Guests gather at the big round kitchen table for a cup of tea or, in the morning, an Aga-cooked organic breakfast. Spacious bedrooms with centuries-old exposed beams are bursting with character, and enticing nooks and crannies make the lovely gardens well worth a wander.
