The approach by kayak sets the intrigue as Our Land, a small island, comes into view surrounded by floating water hyacinths. Here, it's about totally unwinding and connecting with nature. Four khaki-coloured cottages and a treehouse, each have a verandah and hammock. Rooms are spotlessly clean and simply furnished with en suite showers. No more than 6-8 guests can stay at one time so it's very peaceful and you're well looked after by the low key team. The day begins with a bird watching walk (105 species have been spotted around the local village and rice paddies) then Ayurveda massage with an intuitive 3rd generation therapist in the special treatment rooms, later a sunset kayak trip. All meals - a daily changing set menu - take place in another building using organic ingredients, some grown in the garden. It's where the group can socialise. The overall effect is deeply grounding.
