“A luxury hotel and spa boasting a spectacular setting with a backdrop of the Kerry Mountains and sea views. Spacious rooms are contemporary and bright yet there's a traditional feel with chandeliers and antiques. Golf and tennis available and the spa is utterly indulgent; a chic country escape.”

Hotel review

Parknasilla Resort & Spa occupies a spectacular clifftop position with far-reaching views of the Atlantic Ocean set amidst a 500 acre estate. Opened in 1895, this elegant hotel on the southern tip of the Iveragh Peninsula has welcomed guests including Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco, French President Charles de Gaulle, and Nobel Laureate and Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw, who wrote, during one of his many stays, “this place does not belong to any world that you or I have ever worked or lived in... it is a part of our dream world”. Nowadays, guests return year after year to this timeless property which prides itself on exemplary service and hospitality.

The classic, well appointed rooms feature large Victorian sash windows which flood the rooms with light and serve to perfectly frame views of either Kenmare Bay to the south, or the Kerry mountains to the north. Dining options include the Doolittle Bar and the upscale Pygmalion Restaurant, both serving produce from the hotel’s own kitchen garden.

Parknasilla Resort & Spa offers a wide array of activities for guests: the on-site spa with both an indoor pool and an outdoor infinity pool, a nine hole golf course, a private beach, tennis courts, and walking trails around the estate taking in coastal vistas (keep an eye out for grey seals in the bay) and the ruins of Derryquin Castle to name a few.
