Hotel Review
Just 31 rooms have been created from four converted houses in this ancient white-washed hamlet which sits high up on an escarpment completely enclosed by 13th century walls and dominated by a 13th century castle. Interiors are cosy, if somewhat dated, with the traditional local painted furniture and tiled floors.
A restaurant with views out over the surrounding countryside criss-crossed by the tidy Roman roads, serves typical regional dishes such as pig’s trotters with coriander, scrambled eggs with tomato, pork cheeks candied in red wine or gratinated codfish ‘Santa Maria
