Hotel review

From a renovated 16th century villa, this hotel is a luxurious affair. Frescoed walls and ceilings, marbles, fireplaces and antiques, bring tradition and romance together. Where an orchard once stood is the sleek outdoor pool, and idyllic grass tennis court for whiling away the afternoons. Gardens feature chestnut and magnolia trees. The rooms and suites are enormous, some with four poster beds, some with two levels. All exude elegance and charm without over-decoration. The spa has a Turkish bath and its treatment rooms overlook the gardens. The dining room is real treat, renovated from the former stables, now providing a wonderful space for a romantic dinner a deux. Close to Turin, although this sublime hotel will be hard to leave.
