Hotel Review
A lifelong dream of the Swiss/Moroccan owners to build a retreat within natural grounds is gradually coming to fruition after 7 years of building work. Currently with 14 generously proportioned guest bungalows flanking a sizeable swimming pool punctuated by an island hosting a pair of palms, the aim is to have 30 by the end of 2019. The layout has been sensitively worked around existing plants and trees. Grand communal areas - a dining room, piano bar, tented entertainment space and extensive spa, are designed to hold large groups of people. There are even two mini mosques. Rooms are self-contained, shielded by lush vegetation and have private access, courtyard gardens and each with a sitting room (complete with fireplace) and spacious tiled bathroom. The enthusiastic owners are often on site if not in Switzerland, alongside their helpful, long-standing staff including the delightfully accommodating Serami who makes a wonderful fire on cold nights and deliciously soothing brew of verbena tea. He’s the linchpin that holds it all together. Tasty food is offered with added flair - well seasoned soups, homegrown vegetables and delicious puddings, with most diets catered for.
