“Set on a small hill overlooking the stunning Lake Inle, this resort offers peace and tranquility in abundance. Feast on sophisticated local Shan cuisine made with produce from the organic vegetable garden. The convivial bar has views over the lake & there's an idyllic pool. Very luxurious.”

Sanctum Inle Resort Myanmar

This was one of the first proper five-star resort hotels to open on the shores of Inle Lake, and is in one of the best locations for exploring it. The architectural style is more Mediterranean resort than Burmese pagoda but none the worse for that.
