Hotel Review
Like a venerable ocean liner, The Balmoral cuts a majestic course between Edinburgh’s Old & New Towns. Quietly confident, stylish, sophisticated and efficient, this really is the place to stay in Edinburgh. Whether it’s the Festival, Hogmanay, a romantic weekend or a business trip, the Balmoral provides a haven of peace (Olga Polizzi understated design) and yet everything that Edinburgh has to offer is on your doorstep. Bedrooms are individual and most with excellent views. Eating at ‘number one’ is superlative and Hadrian’s Brasserie does the trick, otherwise eat out and return for a nightcap in the Palm Court, champagne or whisky.
