In the once Princely State of Kutch, ten minutes from the small but important town of Mandvi, then a short drive through scrub will take you to this charming permanent tented camp. Here you can chill out on the vast beach private beach belonging to the royal Vijay Vilas Palace (worth a visit) looking out across the Arabian Sea. A path lined with lanterns and aloes leads from the beach to the 10 luxury tents which have bathrooms and verandahs attached and a/c. The sea-facing restaurant serves good Gujerati food. Take time to see the wooden ships being built in Mandvi.
