“A charming Georgian inn on the northern edge of the New Forest. Individually designed bedrooms offer a comfy oasis after a day's exploring. There's a buzzy bar and the AA rosette restaurant champions locally sourced ingredients. Ideal for outdoorsy types or those wanting a quiet country escape.”

Hotel review

The Bell Inn is on the northern fringe of the New Forest in the village of Brook. A charming inn with a Georgian red brick façade facing a common populated by New Forest ponies, donkeys and cows. The approach around the back over a cattle grid is slightly ‘municipal’ as it is also the entrance to the Bramshaw Golf Club, but any feeling of functionality is quickly dispelled when you enter the Inn’s welcoming hall. Plenty of places to sit so it doesn't feel too crowded and a very extensive bar with more cosy independent sitting areas. The twenty eight bedrooms are very comfortable and well appointed with crisp white linen and complimentary Bramley toiletries (in 'top-end' rooms). Individually designed and of various sizes from Classic to Manor, the latter boasting super king sized beds and bathrooms featuring large baths and walk-in showers. For outdoor types, The Bell is ideally located and staff are on hand to share their knowledge of the New Forest walking trails. In addition, they can arrange bicycle hire and prepare a picnic for those on all-day excursions. Don't forget to bring your four-legged family member too. There are eight dog friendly rooms which come with bowl, bone and blanket and there's a doggie menu in the bar for drinks and snacks! The hotel-owned Bramshaw Golf Club is Hampshire’s oldest and boasts two diverse courses The Manor and The Forest. Tee times and Golf Packages can be arranged. The AA Rosette restaurant is under the supervision of Head Chef Mark Young who changes menus seasonally. The family owners are proud of their connection and support for the New Forest and most of the meat, fish, fruit and veg comes from within a 20-mile radius. The Bell Inn is an oasis of hospitality and good service and a great base from which to explore England’s oldest natural forest and its many attractions.
