Parts of this lovely pub go back to the 16th century and the historic character is still evident. Located in the heart of the charming town of Marlow, with its numerous boutique shos, restaurants and bars, it is just half a mile from the River Thames and eight miles from the equally pleasant Henley. It has a lively bar and an impressive restaurant with cuisine of a standard you would not normally expect from a high street pub. A number of contemporary touches are present, especially in the smart and stylish guest rooms. Quaint original features like beams and slightly sloping floors combine with a sleek look created by such things as anglepoise lamps, retro furniture and contemporary wallpapers.
