Hotel Review
Young, trendy, and full of fun, The Dean is set in the beating heart of Dublin and attracts a crowd of the city's trailblazers. As you enter its open-plan lobby, the check-in progress is seamless. No lengthy formalities, just a warm Irish welcome and you're on your way. Rooms vary, from Pods (tiny, but great value - perfect if you plan on spending your time out and about exploring) to Suites, which include a living area, balcony, and separate bath and shower. Each are decorated in an urban, 'New York loft' style with colourful retro furnishings, plus a record player with a collection of vinyls, and a fully stocked minibar.
Breakfast at Sophie's is excellent, with a selection of fresh juices, pancakes, eggs to order, homemade granola, and a 'Full Irish'. Despite Dublin having a booming brunch culture, it's well worth staying in for - if just for the panoramic views of the city. By night, this rooftop venue transforms into a lively bar, with weekend DJ sets and cocktails until the early hours. It goes without saying, things can get a little lively on the weekend (earplugs provided) so this might not be the spot for a relaxing getaway, but ideal for a fun-filled stay in Dublin.
