“A small boutique hotel and restaurant in the seaside town of Bexhill. Chic rooms feature exposed brick walls, crisp white linen and bright pops of colour coming from the soft furnishings. A fantastic restaurant serves an Austrian-fusion menu which has become a hit with the locals.”

The Driftwood

A three-minute walk from Bexhill's main draw, the Art Deco De La Warr Pavilion, this sleek boutique hotel brings stylish rooms and authentic Austrian cuisine to this sleepy seaside town. In the restaurant, chef Michael Roessl woos guests and locals with his superb spätzle, schnitzel and strudel.

The Driftwood

Until this place opened in March, Bexhill-on-Sea was lacking accommodation to match the majesty of its main draw, the wonderful De La Warr Pavilion — a landmark of British modernist architecture and a mecca for art lovers. Enter the Driftwood, which is as edgy as the rest of this seaside resort is old-fashioned.
