Hotel Review
Being just minutes from the busy A1M, and London just an hour away, the lovely tranquil rural village, within which The Fox is located, is a nice surprise. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, it has a flint and ironstone church and pond with weeping willows. The pub itself has undergone a recent extensive refurbishment which has resulted in very attractive, colourful interiors, including stylish green and rose easy chairs, olive green and cream walls, and colour-coordinated fresh flowers on tables. Both the bar menu and more refined tasty restaurant dishes are excellent (the restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes), primarily using locally-sourced ingredients, and drawing a healthy local clientele as well as residents. The boutique-style guest rooms aren’t huge but are supremely comfortable and have characterful touches such as a bank of hexagonal mirrors or upscale wallpapers, and one has a freestanding bath. A great little find for foodies wanting an easy break from London.

The Fox at Willian Review
The Fox has pretty much nailed all the things a local country pub should do well, serving excellent food but remaining an inviting place to stop by for a pint on the village green. In a nutshell, it's a cosy place to stay in the country that you can reach in no time at all from London – plus it's dog-friendly...
