“A smart restaurant with just eight boutique rooms in the heart of the Peak District. Contemporary interiors include deep soaking tubs, Egyptian cotton bed linens and luxury toiletries. The food is award winning and the local scenery stunning. A chic, luxury base for exploring the National Park.”

Hotel Review

What started as a restaurant back in 2015 has now gathered a head of steam! Merchant's Yard has blossomed and not only been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for its consistently good food (you can enjoy afternoon teas and traditional Sunday roasts too), but also expanded its repertoire. It has opened eight boutique guestrooms, so you can now combine exploring the Peak District with treating yourself to a seriously good meal out! Rooms are done in a chic, muted palette of greys with wood accents and luxury accessories including Egyptian cotton bed linens and deep soaking tubs in some bathrooms. They're child friendly too (camp beds can be provided for little ones). However for many visitors it's really all about the food; the kitchen serves a seasonal a la carte menu championing locally sourced high quality produce. And there's a bar for cocktails, or a cup of coffee! If you're planning a trip to the Peak District and want to be close not only to the great outdoors, but also the cultural highlights (including Chatsworth House and Buxton Opera House), plus be sure of a boutique stay, then Merchant's Yard is the one to book!
