West Dorset is a food lovers' paradise and there are many superb restaurants, trendy cafes and gastro pubs nearby. Breakfast at Tudor Cottage: Full English including local sausages and free range eggs, Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, Louise's famous poached plums, pears steeped in raspberry and apple juice with star anise, a wonderful selection of beautifully prepared fresh fruits, thick Greek yoghurt, Tudor Cottage homemade muesli and granola, fruit juice, toasted homemade bread, etc. Things to do in the area:- Frampton is wonderfully central, close to Dorchester, Sherborne, Weymouth and the breath taking Jurassic Coast; there are dramatic coastal paths and beautiful gentle country walks. You can try your hand at fossil hunting, clay pigeon shooting and llama trekking; visit the ancient swannery and the gardens at Abbotsbury, Forde Abbey, Mapperton and Mintern; go to Thomas Hardy's houses or Bovington Tank Museum; or picture the French Lieutenant's Woman on Lyme Regis's Cobb.
