If you're big on interior design and details are important to you, The Valletta Suites are probably the most stylish and contemporary places to stay in the city. Lucia Nova, one of the three self-catered properties located in Valletta, is the newest acquisition and is great value for money. While the interior, with its lavish fabrics, witty yet elegant designer pieces, mod-cons and stunning bathroom is refreshing in Malta, you still have the added bonus of rich Maltese history. Lucia Nova is located at the heart of authentic Maltese city-living and the unassuming townhouse with its cool, distressed brickwork, traditional balcony and high ceilings makes for a truly magnificent stay that I defy anyone not to be delighted with. Small extras include free wi-fi; a great sun-trap terrace, iPod sound-docks and on-demand movies. This small and intimate apartment is certainly for fashionable romantics looking for a convenient pied-à-terre in this notable European city.
