This boutique, sixteenth-century hotel is the jewel in the crown of historic hotels in Rovinj. The renovation has preserved many of the building's beautiful original features; a particular delight is the basement crypts, with exposed carved stone walls. Part museum, part guesthouse, Villa Tuttorotto allows the legacy of the site it sits on to do a lot of the talking. The hotel even has its own antique shop, where guests can browse exquisite examples of local crafts. The villa's spacious superior suite is spectacular. Guests can also reserve a whole floor in the villa, which is a great option for those travelling with a group. Larger groups may be interested in renting Villetta Garibaldi, a pretty family home in the centre of the old town. If you are looking for a hotel which gives you a real sense of historic Rovinj, this is the bolt-hole you are seeking.
