Hotel review

If you’re driving from Dalaman on the main Fethiye road, keep a sharp eye open for the easy-to-miss track that leads (eventually) to this tranquil seaside retreat. But persevere, because it’s worth it. A dozen rooms (in four newly-built houses) stand among lawns and citrus and pomegranate trees. A flock of chickens clucks around the garden, while ducks paddle and terrapins splash in the creek. Loungers and pergolas beckon on the long sand-and-gravel beach at the end of the garden. There’s a small open-air bar and a restaurant where a set-menu dinner and lavish buffet breakfast are served, made with locally-sourced organic produce, some from the Lodge’s own gardens. The rooms (really two-room apartments) are plain, spacious, bright and clean, with pine furniture and balconies just big enough for two. An excellent choice on the way to or from Dalaman Airport.
