My Hotel Bugbears - Scatter cushions
…cushions on the bed. “Well”, you can hear the interior designers declaring when they have finished a new bedroom in a hotel “it looks alright but there’s something missing: cushions”.
So they add a couple, propping them up against two pairs of plump pillows, and then they add another couple for good measure, propped up against the first ones, so that by now there’s enough legroom for a small child to stretch out, but not for you.
So what’s the first thing we do when we want to lie on the bed? Chuck the cushions on the floor. If you can’t make a bedroom look attractive without resorting to cushions, dear designers, you shouldn’t be in the game, I say. They drive me potty. You too?
