Hotel Indigo Bath is set on elegant Georgian terrace, recently restored before reopening in 2020 and part of the IHG group. An ingenious combination of 12 inter-connecting 18th-century townhouses with an interior decor that’s a mix of modern and traditional. Quirky chandeliers shine over Regency-style portraits and animal heads either upon human bodies or dressed in military costumes.

Up and down the 10 staircases is a maze of 154 rooms leading off from butterfly-strewn carpets. In order of ascending grandeur are Standard, Superior, Superior Premier, Suites and ‘Accessible’. Each floor has themed names highlighting the Georgian era. On the top floor are the ‘Literary Hideaway’ Standard rooms, adorned with a collage of books on the wall while the ‘Architectural Beauty’ rooms have Roman cornicing. All come with comfy Hypnos beds and luxurious Egyptian cotton linen. The bathrooms have historic patterned tiles, rainforest showers (some have an additional walk-in shower and roll-top tub) and the products are by Bramley.

The theme of Hotel Indigo Bath is ‘old meets new’ and certainly the modern part of the hotel is successfully offset by the restaurants. There’s Brasserie Beau with its niches and alcoves and the Elder restaurant for fine dining with taster menus going the full 7 courses. Fairly-priced for both rooms and dinner, it’s ideal for discerning adults free of children or pets.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? We offer an extensive, made to order A La Carte menu alongside a hearty & enjoyable continental buffet including pastries, homemade flapjacks, fresh cut fruit, cereals, continental meats, and cheeses (and more!).

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We have two unique restaurants located at Hotel Indigo Bath – Brasserie Beau and The Elder. Sustainability and local trade is our passion and this is reflected in both restaurant menus, Showcasing what great contemporary British cooking can be; authentic, honest, timeless.

Which are your most popular room types, and why? Our beautiful standard rooms host luxury spa-inspired bathrooms with walk-in rainfall showers but our most popular rooms are our large premium architectural rooms and our unique Georgian underground vaults with classic roll top baths.

If you really want to be ‘wowed’, our vaulted suites are spacious and stunning in design. With separate lounge areas, sofa beds, two televisions and luxury king-size Hypnos beds, they are perfect for any special occasion.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? Children are very welcome at Hotel Indigo Bath! Brasserie Beau offers a great child-friendly and delicious menu and we can accommodate children in rooms with prior notice.
