Opened in 2015 this stylish hotel serves the business customer very well with a co-working space with international sockets, a top-notch restaurant and a handy position by central station. It also lures in the weekend guests with its subterranean spa featuring hydromassage Roman bath, sauna, Turkish bath and salt cave. A panoramic roof terrace with views over the new business district of Porta Nuova (including the landmark bosco verticale - a skyscraper planted with trees on all the balconies so that it looks like a ‘vertical forest’), is becoming the place to be seen for early evening aperitivo. Inside muted colours abound, offset by colourful decorative pieces of Murano glass (including a huge modern Murano chandelier in reception) and the overall impression is of a slick modern space. Rooms and suites follow the same theme - think browns and greys complemented with dark wood and subtle lighting. A good base for weekenders (it's perfectly located for all the designer shops and buzzy nightlife on Corso Como and Corso Garibaldi) and business travellers alike.
