Set in the Kentish countryside Rowhill Grange & Utopia Spa is under an hour from London making it an easy escape from the city. Thirty-eight rooms and suites are spread across the main house and clock house, each one named after the flora and fauna found in the surrounding countryside. From Cosy Rooms to the opulent Master Suites there’s a room to suit every budget. En-suite bathrooms are generous in size and the suites feature huge over-sized baths as well as large walk-in showers. The individually decorated rooms are furnished with Michael Northcroft furniture, opulent velvets and large beds. The award-winning Utopia Spa has a hot tub, sauna, steam room, a large pool and a Japanese pool with underwater massage beds. Unwind and relax in one of the indoor spa pools, pamper yourself in the spa or chill in the hot tub. After an afternoon of pampering why not finish the day with something from the 24-hour room service menu or head to one of the restaurants. Elements Bar & Lounge is a relaxed affair, great for an informal lunch, or afternoon tea with friends. The other restaurant, RG’s, is home to head chef Oliver Joyce who has put together an innovative menu using local produce: the restaurant has a great seasonal fixed menu to choose from as well as à la carte. Superb service and a great wine list complement the atmospheric interiors. In the summer months the 15 acres of gardens and Orangeries at Rowhill Grange come into their own, as does RG’s terrace, the perfect spot for a quintessentially British afternoon tea.
