In the heart of Leicester, St Martin's Lodge is an unexpected delight in a grade II listed building near the historic Cathedral in the Greyfriars Area. Pre-register your car details and park in the lodge's car park or register upon arrival (Electric Vehicle Charging Points are chargeable). Check-in takes place in the building opposite so if travelling with a few bags perhaps leave them in the car until you have your room key.

The 28 bedrooms include a junior suite on the top floor and all feature original features and interior design in keeping with the character of the building. The light and soft grey colour palette work well against the wooden floors and patterned tiles surround the gilt mirrors in the spacious bathrooms (which all feature showers, some have both showers and rolltop baths). A stay at St Martin's Lodge is on a room only basis but there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby; Café No.7 is a great place to go for breakfast and the Knight and Garter referred to a 'Leicester's carefully considered pub' is beautifully designed bar, British brasserie & cellar just three minute's walk away. Guests of St Martin's Lodge receive a 15% discount on food. Pub of the year 2022 it serves fresh, seasonal dishes.

All of the rooms have Nespresso machines, WiFi and complimentary water. There's also an accessible lift from the ground floor to the second floor.

A great value stylish alternative to a boutique hotel in the heart of Leicester.
