The Brudenell

Set right on the seafront in the attractive town of Aldeburgh, The Brudenell hits the spot if you’re after a comfortable hotel by the sea. Whites, blues and stripes give the hotel a nautical feel, as do the boaty wallpapers and local photography. While the views from many of the seafront bedrooms are hard to beat, the Aldeburgh rooms – which overlook the streets and beyond to the river and marshes – have their own attraction. The brasserie-style ‘Seafood & Grill’ restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and the varied menu includes locally caught fish. The bar prides itself on its coastal gins, which can be enjoyed on the hotel’s large terrace with its jaunty awnings and blue and white chairs. The comfortable lounge has an all-day menu with everything from fish and chips to toasted teacakes.

Sit back and relax with a glass of wine or an Adnams beer and experience a cinema like no other. What kind of breakfast do you offer? We offer a 'serve yourself from the Breakfast Table' continental breakfast which is £9.95 or a full continental breakfast with one freshly cooked breakfast straight from the kitchen for £13.95. This includes Full Suffolk Breakfast, or Scottish Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs, and even Freshly Made Pancakes. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We offer our All Day Dining Menu which is served from 10am - 9pm, this includes sausage and bacon muffins for those who prefer a late breakfast and freshly made scones with jam and cream to enjoy in the afternoons. Our full A La Carte menu is served from 6pm - 8:45pm (Sunday - Thursday) and 6pm - 9:15pm (Friday & Saturday). Alternatively we highly recommend our Sister Hotel the White Lion who have two offer two different restaurants, the Brasserie Bleue and Sea Spice. The White Lion is a short walk from the Brudenell, along the seafront. Which are your most popular room types, and why? Our most popular room is one of our Superior Aldeburgh Facing Room, Room 210. This room is very special because it is the only room with the largest balcony with a beautiful sea view. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? Most of our Superior Aldeburgh Facing, Superior Sea views and also our Deluxe Rooms are large enough to have extra beds for children. Some of these rooms have sofa beds. Therefore we can accommodate families up to 5 in one room.
