Val d’Oise is a department in the Ile de France. The prefecture, Pontoise, lies some 28 kilometres from the centre of Paris, and the river Oise is a major tributary of the Seine.The best places to stay in the Val d’Oise allow you to make the most of this undiscovered part of Northern France, whilst at the same time being an excellent option if you wish to visit the capital, but not stay there.
