About Niseko
High in the mountains of Hokkaidō, Niseko is one of Japan's top ski regions, famed for its four interconnecting resorts. Nestled at the foot of majestic Mount Yotei, Niseko has long drawn ski fanatics and nature lovers from around the world. Its popularity is reflected in a vast array of accommodation options, including private chalets as well as swish luxury hotels. Whilst some of the best places to stay in Niseko are wonderfully tranquil and romantic, many of the larger hotels cater to families and groups. This is a fantastic destination for a fun-filled holiday!
Niseko United’s four ski resorts — Annupuri, Niseko, Hirafu, and Hanazono — share the same lift pass system as well as access to extensive off-piste terrain. With almost 18 metres of deep powder snow expected annually, this really is a superb winter sports hub. Great ski schools, and opportunities for snowmobiling and heli-skiing complete the picture.
Travel during the warmer months for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding. Rivers swollen with melting snow are brilliant for white water rafting or canoeing, and there are gorgeous fishing and golf opportunities, too. Gather at the area’s best bars and restaurants for lively evenings out after relaxing spa afternoons at the best places to stay in Niseko.
