Seaview is a delightfully chic, small Edwardian-era resort on the Isle of Wight, just to the east of Ryde, with a wonderfully traditional, albeit rocky, seafront, and memorable views across The Solent. At low-tide, the pale sands in front of the town are revealed, and you’ve got a lot of beach to enjoy. Add to this all the frills of a family seaside holiday: mini-golf, tennis courts, beautiful gardens and playgrounds, independent boutiques, and a great range of pubs, cafes and restaurants, and you have a wonderful bucket-and-spade spot. Most of our Gurus’ recommendations for the best places to stay in Seaview are family friendly, and ideally situated for making the most of this charming town.
Sailors love Seaview too, and of all the Isle of Wight’s sailing centres, Seaview is probably the best for learning to sail. It’s also got great facilities for other watersports including windsurfing, paddle boarding, or sea kayaking. Priory Bay is another very appealing destination — only reachable at low tide, this is a beautiful beach and swimming spot.
In summer the town bustles with life, fun and events — the main one being the Seaview Regatta. If you want to guarantee your room in one of the best places to stay in Seaview in July or August, get organised and book well ahead!

Seaview
An eccentric family run hotel in a fabulous setting - the 1930s with a ‘60s twist. Forget en suite bathrooms, but for families wanting a very relaxed seaside atmosphere at reasonable rates, with lots of friends to make, it's an experience. The antithesis of boutique.
Seaview
Just a short way from the centre of Seaview on the Isle of Wight and directly by Apply Beach, The Boathouse is a charming seaside hotel. The bedrooms are comfortable and airy, decorated with a pale palette. The pub is popular and the restaurant serves excellent seafood. A delightful place.
