Dar Anyiwen is a luxury guesthouse in its own secluded 5 acre garden in the Palmeraie area of Marrakech. Originally built as a family residence by the owner’s father in 1982 it somehow feels much older. This, combined with the quiet splendour of the beautifully porportioned interiors filled with a lifetime of collecting, give it the authentic feel of a personal home. Objets d’Art from all parts of the world sit side by side with traditional Moroccan mosaics and materials. There are 4 luxury suites in the main house and 4 further detached suites in the garden. Bedrooms are spacious with tiled bathrooms festooned with rose petals and sumptuous towels. The Mucha Suite has a vast bedroom and its own even larger private terrace. The charming owner Stephane speaks excellent English and French and the friendly and discreet waiters feel like part of the family. Food is largely Moroccan in style and can be served to you in the many different settings throughout the house and grounds.

What is there to do in the area? Cultural monuments: Museum of La Palmeraie and the Museum of Photography are the two new thing in Marrakech. Sports and outdoor activities: Camel Ride, Quad bikes, 3 minutes from the Palmeraie Championship Golf Course, Jogging on the palmeraie path. What kind of breakfast do you offer? Continental Breakfast with some moroccan delicacies as well. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Yes, we offer a big variety of Moroccan and International meals with fresh products. We do recommend often many good restaurants (Most of them are Moroccan favorites) as : Le Café Arabe, Le Foundouk, Le Comptoir, le Gastro La Mamounia, Azare Lebanese club and restaurant; Lotus club... Which are your most popular room types, and why? Mucha suite and Tiwalline I suite for their attractive price. Pavillon Romane, La Rotonde suite and Tiwalline II for their atmosphere and size, private gardens and jacuzzis. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Dar Ayniwen is a real guesthouse, Stephane, the owner, and her assistant Aziz are almost always on site. My major concern is to offer you the perfect stay. It is evident, that if anything is not the way you want it to be, you just have to let us know and we will try our best to fix it. Also, remember that the shuttle at Dar Ayniwen is free (or included in our suite rates) so no hidden cab fares.
The perfect antidote to the freneticism of the medina, the gardens at Dar Ayniwen are simply idyllic..
