Travel back in time. The 12 rooms of this boutique heritage hotel—earlier a French townhouse—bear names of former French governors and renowned Tamil personalities. Even the décor is a hark back to its 170-year-old history, with antique teak beds, Thanjavur artworks and sepia-tinted photos. Head to Le Club nearby for some excellent French food.
