About Kasauli

A former cantonment of the British Raj, Kasauli became established as a colonial hill station thanks to its temperate climates. Also thanks to these climates it is a gardener’s paradise and it has many green-fingered inhabitants!  Our pick of the best places to stay in Kasauli are great for a complete escape.

To walk along its pine-lined lanes is to pass many a quintessentially English cottage garden, brimming with roses. Visit during the summer months (March to June) when the days are warm, nights are cool and the whole region is a burst of colour.

Built in 1853 Christ Church is a charming building and a beautiful walk.

Walk along the Gilbert Trail, through the region's pine forests and hill tops.

Kasauli is home to an impressive array of birdlife, porcupines and the skittish Sambar deer.

But in fact one of the primary draws of Kasauli is how little there is to do. Today, one of the ultimate luxuries in life is just to relax with a good book, with only the sounds of nature to interrupt your solace.

Our pick of the best places to stay in Kasauli all provide the prefect hideaway.
