“Tucked away in Kasauli's tranquil hills this Himalayan homestay is a labour of love. Anglo-Indian in style the decor is English country house meets Indian chic. The food is far superior to that of an ordinary homestay with Indian and Western dishes on offer. Relax with a book in the fragrant garden.”

Hotel Review
Whilst some might recoil at the word 'homestay' there is no doubt that they provide travellers with a far more intimate experience than any hotel chain. At 7 Pines you get all of the perks, with none of the cons; owner and fashion designer Nila's eye for detail does not miss a thing. Her creativity shines through in every corner, from the decor to the menu. The anglo-Indian vibe continues in the rooms decorated in green and pink hues with pop colour blinds of lotus and parrot print. All have huge bay windows overlooking either the garden or the surrounding hills and some rooms in the main cottage have private balconies. The top floor rooms have the best views and generally bigger bathrooms. Cottages can be rented out for exclusive use. The staff (and the three dogs!) are what really makes this property feel like a home, not a hotel. Prem, the chef, will look after your every dietary need. Freshly made ravioli, "healthy" chocolate cake and some innovative Indian dishes can be found on the menu. Whilst there is an emphasis on healthy eating and locally sourced ingredients, you will probably devour so much as to undo all his health-conscious measures! Better get your walking boots on and tackle some of those hills!
