Despite its beauty and peace, Worcestershire isn’t one of the most popular counties for visitors, and it’s not known for its great hotels. What our Gurus are happy to recommend are some great old pubs and coaching inns. Worcestershire’s 3 best pubs with rooms make great bases for seeing this county, and will give you all the comfort you need, plus a local insight you’ll just not get if you stay in a generic hotel.
Worcestershire is closer to the peaceful green of the Welsh marshes than the industrial heart of the Midlands, a county of rolling hills, deep green fields and ancient woodlands. There’s wonderful walking, riding and cycling in the Malvern Hills, plus a chance to see the extravagant villas of Great Malvern and Elgar’s wonderful stained glass window in Worcester cathedral.
Our Guru’s recommendations for Worcestershire’s best pubs with rooms and coaching inns are a welcoming bunch with comfortable rooms and good food.

Great getaway for romantic weekenders, good base for families as well as walkers wanting understated luxury.
