Boston's North End, or "Little Italy" as its also known, is an historic area, where you'll find plenty of fascinating sights. Part of the city's Freedom Trail, it's a labyrinth of narrow roads, which are home to some of Boston's oldest buildings — indeed it is the city's oldest residential neighbourhood and can trace its roots as far back as the 1630s. We've discovered a couple of hotels that we think are worth recommending here; both waterfront properties — one large and modern, the other a more intimate inn with just ten rooms. For further inspiration, check out the selection in nearby West End.

Fantastic inn with a unique location on Boston's Harbour. Stay for breathtaking 180-degree sea and city vistas. The spacious contemporary rooms have luxurious amenities and nautical touches; make sure to book one with a balcony. It feels like being at sea with luxury yachts as your only neighbours.
Boston (Boston Harbour)
A modern hotel that was part of Boston's Battery Wharf development in the city's harbour area. Many of the property's light-filled and spacious rooms boast sea views and dual aspect. Take advantage of two restaurants and the expansive gym and spa, as well as the water-facing terrace sit-out area.
