Boston's North End, or "Little Italy" as its also known, is an historic area, where you'll find plenty of fascinating sights. Part of the city's Freedom Trail, it's a labyrinth of narrow roads, which are home to some of Boston's oldest buildings — indeed it is the city's oldest residential neighbourhood and can trace its roots as far back as the 1630s. We've discovered a couple of hotels that we think are worth recommending here; both waterfront properties — one large and modern, the other a more intimate inn with just ten rooms. For further inspiration, check out the selection in nearby West End.
