Down a leafy residential street in the well-located Clifton area – just 10 minutes to the city walls – this smart B&B has been created out of two adjacent Victorian villas. Original features of tiled and polished-wood floors, and high ceilings form the backdrop to a rich decorative style of bold statement wallpapers, dark-hued walls and a mix of antique and bric-a-brac finds. A collection of artworks – some deliciously irreverent – covers the walls. This decorative style continues in the 28 bedrooms which are spread over three floors, with several on the ground floor. Some are cosier in size than others, but all have a club-like feel, quality fabrics and individually chosen furniture. You might find a vast four-poster bed, a chandelier, a chaise-longue or an Arts and Crafts wardrobe. Bathrooms (all but one are shower-only) mix statement wallpapers and bold-coloured tiling. A separate garden room is designed like an Alpine chalet, with a steam-room and shower. With a walled garden, bar and comfortable sitting-room, it makes for a peaceful retreat after a day’s sight-seeing.

Our customers are telling us how they love the unique decor with bold, bright colours and are surprised and delighted by their rooms being so design-led. We also love hearing great feedback about our teams who work so hard to make sure everyone stays are enjoyable.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? We offer a full Yorkshire breakfast and a continental breakfast, all homemade and something for everyone.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We offer bed and breakfast but we have two sister restaurants just a stone's throw away; The Lamb & Lion Inn and The Guy Fawkes Inn.
