This carefully renovated Mediterranean villa has been transformed into an utterly charming guesthouse-hotel with a sprawling terrace, refreshing plunge pool, and spectacular views over Banje Beach and Dubrovnik’s striking old town. Nine comfy bedrooms are contemporary classic in style - spacious, with wooden beamed ceilings, four poster beds and exposed brick walls featuring local artworks. Each is named after a famous landmark in the city, Fort Lovrijenac or the Rector’s Palace for example. Large shuttered windows offer brilliant panoramic views. Rooms are equipped with a local mobile telephone - particularly handy if trying to coordinate a large group of travellers, stags, or hens! Villa Allure is located on the main one way road down to the old town, though once through its discreet doorway one feels totally removed from busy Dubrovnik life - an added luxury. The local staff are extremely helpful and full of top recommendations for food, drink and activities. Breakfast is served on the terrace, shaded by old vines and lemon trees. And the full range of eggs, pancakes and fruits is all the more rewarding after a delightful morning swim in the Adriatic.
