Hotel review

Yoann Conte reminds one of the holidaymakers from times gone, the wealthier Brits who would make their way down to south France to remedy all ailments with the fresh, healthy air. This renovated, lakeside hotel fits exactly this level of decadence and grandeur, while still having that simple air of well-being and oneness with nature. Nature pervades the estate, most obviously with its large, beautiful garden that leads down to the hotel's private pontoon on the lake, but also the interiors have light pouring through bay windows, cute bundles of sticks decorating walls, stalks of wheat, sunflowers and dried plants, not to mention the botanical paintings that adorn many walls. Every room has their own terrace or balcony, which has picturesque views over the garden and the lake. To top it all off, a 2-Michelin-starred restaurant which serves innovative/traditional hybrids to cater for all your senses.
